The loss of my mother

My mother was a life long drug addict. She lost her battle with addiction when her life was suddenly taken 10 days ago from an overdose. I'm at a loss for how to begin to process this. It's been a life long journey for me that stole much of my childhood. I'was waiting for my mother to be the one I always longed for and that day never came.
